Agriculture and Land Reclamation Minister Salah Abdul-Mo'men said y 21/8/2012 100,000 feddans will be cultivated in Toshka to absorb one million citizens in 5 years as part of cultivating one million feddans project. The minister pointed out that new investments would be pumped to develop Toshka and east Oweinat projects in the coming stage, adding around 70,000 feddans were cultivated in Toshka and 112,000 feddans were also cultivated in Oweinat. The ministry gives priority to strategic crops as wheat and corn, he noted, adding the government is keen on offering new facilities for investors to encourage them reclaiming and cultivating those promising areas.
