Minister of Housing Dr. Tarek Wafik said that the Suez Canal region could provide about one million job opportunities through the application of Egypt's strategic plan of urban development until 2025. The minister pointed out that a number of 42 projects were determined to be launched soon in Sharqiya, Suez, Port Said, Ismailia and Sinai, including 6 projects of great importance. Minister Wafik noted that the Suez Canal region, which includes Sharqiya, Ismailia, Port Said, Suez, South and North Sinai represents an integrated international model of sustainable development that leads Egypt towards global competitiveness, especially with the start of implementation of cooperation protocols with China, particularly in the northwest Gulf of Suez.
