Egypt's bourse gained EGP 13.4 billion and the main index recorded its highest rate within 15 months. The main benchmark EGX 30 index rose by 3.95 percent to 5,543 points. The broader EGX 70 index of the leading smaller and mid cap enterprises (SME) rose by 3.05 percent to 510 points. The all-embracing EGX 100 index rose by 3.69 percent to 862 points. The Egyptian global depository receipts (GDRs) traded on the London Stock Exchange rose at the close of Friday's trading. The GDRs of Orascom Telecom, Orascom Construction Industries, EFG Hermes and the Commercial International Bank (CIB) rose by 1.66, 1.47, 1.23, and 1.18 percent respectively.
