H.H. Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, National Security Advisor, and Deputy Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, paid today an inspection tour of the south Shamkha infrastructure development. The project is part of a series of projects the Government of Abu Dhabi is planning to provide world class infrastructure facilities for building 3,051 plots as part of the balanced development plans across the emirate to ensure stability and welfare.
Sheikh Hazza, who was welcomed by Mohammed Khalifa Al Mehairi, CEO of Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanda), stressed as he chaired a meeting of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority board the importance of coordination and mobilization of all energies and resources of stakeholders to deliver the project on schedule to the highest quality standards. The meeting reviewed regulations governing housing programmes, objectives of each programme, action plans, housing allocation and implementation mechanisms. The board discussed with the infrastructure committee at the Executive Council and Musanda, contractor of the project, progress of work in the infrastructure projects. Sheikh Hazza heard a presentation on the infrastructure works of the project which features a road network of 402 kilometres, a 430 km sewerage network and a drinking water grid of stretching 460 km, an integrated power supply system and a storm water network of 995 km as well as telecommunications network. Mohammed Khalifa Al Mehairi, CEO of Abu Dhabi General Services Company (Musanda), which was mandated by the Executive Council to execute the project, said all phases of the projects would be completed to the best standards by the second half of 2014. |
