In preparation for the summer season, all maintenance operations of irrigation and drainage networks will end this month in all governorates to secure water requirements. Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation Mohamed Bahaa El Din has stressed before his visit to Tunisia that he would begin next month the implementation of increasing the discharge of water from Naser Lake to face water needs of the summer cultivation season. He added that the ministry is committed to provide the irrigation water needed to grow 1.76 million feddans of rice this year.
