EU Finances Agricultural Projects in Egypt

The Egyptian-Romanian Business Council discussed the possibility of Egypt's benefiting from the European grants program which allocated some 20 million euro for financing agricultural projects in Egypt. Chairman of the Egyptian side to the council Hassan Al-Shafei disclosed the council's strategy for increasing the volume of trade exchange to some USD one billion over the coming period against $ 450 million at present. He added that the Egyptian products are greatly appreciated in Romania, a matter which boosts the trade balance between the two countries into Egypt's favor.
