Egypt will not remain seeking loans for long, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Amr Darrag said, promising that Egypt's requests to get foreign grants and loans are part of a temporary state of affairs that will not last long.
Such loans are offered to Egypt by development partners, Darrag added in statements after a meeting of the board of trustees of the Arab Planning Institute. Egypt is a medium-sized developing nation and not a poor state, the minister said. Development partners to Egypt did not offer support in the form of assistance, but through joint cooperation to gain mutual benefits, according to Darrag. |
