Egyptians Loans will not Last for Long

Egypt will not remain seeking loans for long, Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Amr Darrag said, promising that Egypt's requests to get foreign grants and loans are part of a temporary state of affairs that will not last long.

Such loans are offered to Egypt by development partners, Darrag added in statements after a meeting of the board of trustees of the Arab Planning Institute.

Egypt is a medium-sized developing nation and not a poor state, the minister said. Development partners to Egypt did not offer support in the form of assistance, but through joint cooperation to gain mutual benefits, according to Darrag.
