Egyptian-European Discussions on Creating Free Trade Zone

Cairo has hosted recently meetings between Egypt and the European Union (EU) on considering the EU initiative on improving joint commercial relations with Mediterranean states aiming at creating a comprehensive free trade zone to develop joint interests between the EU and Mediterranean southern states, topped by Egypt.

Meanwhile, Minister of Industry and Foreign Trade Hatem Saleh said he wrapped up a European tour that included France for discussing economic cooperation.

The Minister noted that the discussions shed light on economic policies, Egyptian industries and the government plans for dealing with current challenges.
