France Seeks Investing in Suez Canal Project

The French side is keen on investing in the Suez Canal Axis Development Project, affirmed Egypt's Industry and Foreign Trade Minister Hatem Saleh.

In an interview with MENA correspondent in Paris 06/06/2013, Saleh said that France is interested in doing business in several areas in this project. Talking about cooperation between Cairo and Paris, Saleh said that the Egyptian-French ties are distinguished, adding that French investments in Egypt stand at three billion dollars.

The volume of trade exchange between the two countries hit three billion euros, the minister said. He expected an increase of French investments in Egypt, after his current visit to Paris, along with a ministerial delegation and Egyptian businessmen.
