Trade and Industry Minister Mounir Fakhri Abdel-Nour expected that the volume of exports would hit EGP150 billion by the end of the year, compared with EGP130 billion last year.
The minister explained that the development in exports system and the increase of export rates come at the top of the government's priorities, pointing out that the ministry in cooperation with various departments has taken decisions that will improve the Egyptian exports competitiveness. The minister's remarks came during a meeting with members of the General Federation of the Egyptian Chambers of Commerce where they reviewed the most important problems facing exporters, including support programs and moving towards the African market and rice export strategy. |
