Minister of Local Development Adel Labib announced allocating EGP 4.4 billion for the governorates with a view to carrying out urgent projects and meeting urgent needs, of which EGP 2.1 billion from the urgent plan and EGP 2.3 billion from the investment plan to be distributed to governorates.
Such a step aims at implementing the programs of the two plans and working on achieving balance in development services at the geographical level, the minister added. Minister Labib stressed that the projects that had been carried out or those currently being carried out include paving roads, bridges and tunnels, improving environment, security, fire-fighting units and improving health-care services, educational and cultural services in addition to meeting the needs of the municipalities with regard to the trained workers and offering equipment and appliances. |
