Minister of Trade and Industry Mounir Fakhry Abdel-Nour has underlined Egypt's keenness on furthering cooperation with Russia in all fields.
"The forthcoming period will witness the advancement of economic relation between the two countries," said a statement by the Industry Ministry following a meeting of the Egyptian minister with Russian Agriculture Minister Nikolai Fyodorov at the headquarters of the Egyptian embassy in Moscow. Present at the meeting were Egypt's Ambassador in Moscow Moahamed al-Badri and Minister Plenipotentiary Mohammad Daoud, head of commercial representation department. Egypt will start exporting agriculture products to Russia, especially in light of the European ban imposed on Russia. The meeting tackled the needs of Russia's market of the Egyptian products during the coming period. Abdel-Nour stressed that his visit to Moscow at this time has come to open new and larger avenues for Egyptian products in the Russian market. For his part, Fyodorov said Russia welcomes the Egyptian products in its markets, saying coordination is under way with Egyptian officials to tackle any obstacles hindering the movement of trade between the two countries. |
