Major General Kamel Al-Waziri, the chief of staff of the Armed Forces' Engineering Authority and supervisor of the New Suez Canal project, said that six places are, now ready for receiving dredgers as part of the second stage of the process.
Waziri noted that so far, about 40 million cubic meters of sand were lifted from the New Suez Canal, which means that 25% of new Suez Canal's dry digging finished. He noted that Al-Ballah branch would be expanded and digging sub-canals as a prelude to achieving tourist development in the region at Al-Temsah Lake in Ismailia. |
