Saud Salim Al Mazrouei, Director of Hamriyah Free Zone Authority (HFZA) and Sharjah Airport International Free Zone (SAIF Zone) has expressed his intention to explore Russian Federation and Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) countries as very important market by attending various meetings and trade shows during 2015.
"The demand from the institutional investors from CIS countries were very high in 2014 and over 112 companies from Russia and CIS countries registered with HFZA, encouraging us to explore this market," Al Mazrouei added while commenting on the Consumexpo 2015 that has held recently at Expocentre Fairgrounds in Moscow. "Our team successfully participated at Consumexpo and the trade show helped our team to share our strategic position and advantages to entrepreneurs from these countries." Currently, over 365 companies from CIS countries operate from Hamriyah Free Zone. In addition to Russia, investors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Azerbaijan, Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Tajikistan, Armenia and Moldova also opened their firms in Hamriyah Free Zone in 2014. Last year, over 400 companies from 21 countries demonstrated their products. The total attendance at the Consumexpo’2014 Exhibition was over 8000 and 92% of them were entrepreneurs. |
