The Petroleum Ministry has signed 56 agreements to explore gas and oil from November 2013 until March 2015 with total investments of 12.1 billion dollars, said Petroleum Minister Sherif Ismail.
The minister's remark came during his visit to Beheira with Prime Minister Ibrahim Mahlab and the local development minister on 6/4/2015. The ministry is keen on providing citizens' needs and the various State's sectors and the development plans from energy, said Ismail. The minister, meanwhile, reviewed projects to develop gas fields. He said the investments of these projects amount to 20.8 billion dollars to produce 3.2 billion cubic meters daily. The government is keen on paying dues of the foreign companies in order to encourage them pump more investments, he added. |
