Minister of Industry and Trade Tareq Qabil said that redressing trade deficit is a top priority for his ministry in the coming period.
The Minister made the remarks during a meeting with UK Ambassador to Egypt John Casson. The meeting with the British diplomat took up ties and cooperation at the economic and commercial levels. Egypt is developing strong relations with many countries worldwide to open new markets for the Egyptian products, the minister said. Also, they discussed preparations for a planned visit by President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to London. The President is scheduled to start his trip to the UK in the coming few weeks. The Minister also held meeting with German Ambassador in Egypt Julius Georg Luy. The meeting took up efforts exerted by both sides to increase trade volume and joint investments. |
