PM Sherif Ismail met with the China unit in the cabinet of Ministers, the meeting was attended by the Ministers of electricity, agriculture, transport, international cooperation, trade and industry, and representatives of a number of actors concerned, in order to crystallize the final vision of the themes and cooperation projects to be raised during the visit of the President of the China Zhi Ginbing declared to Egypt at the beginning of Jan.2016.
Ambassador Hussam said that PM Sherif Ismail stressed in the beginning of the meeting on the need to take advantage of the momentum the effect of the visit of the Chinese president to the strengthening of relations between the two countries, and serve their common interests, pointing to the importance of the proposed projects in pushing the development efforts in Egypt, also stressed the need for the completion of the proposed agreements signed between both Egyptian and Chinese sides during the visit in the final form, indicating it will be another meeting of the Committee during the next week to review what has been in this regard. During the meeting, a presentation was made of a detailed report on the proposed projects in cooperation with the Chinese side, where the Minister of Trade and Industry (Commission decision) the latest developments in the cooperation projects such as Chinese investments in the new administrative capital, digging wells on the draft of the 1.5 million feddans, the development of the Suez Canal Zone, and draft the Chinese University, areas of cultural cooperation, and to contribute to the initiative of the 'Silk Road' the proposed projects. He also pointed out the minister of electricity to the cooperation projects proposed in the area of increasing the efficiency of the modernization of the transportation network of national electricity, and the establishment of new power stations, as well as cooperation in manufacturing smart gauges, as the Minister of Agriculture and the proposals for the signing of a memorandum of understanding for cooperation between research centers of Egyptian agricultural Chinese counterparts, and reviewed the minister of international cooperation and financial cooperation between the two countries in the field of grants and loans to finance projects, where it indicated that there is the granting of a total of 200 million dollars in soft loans and divided into 6 projects, of which 100 million dollars in sewage in the delta governorates, levels and 50 million dollars for the compilation of the launching of the Satellite EGY Sat 2, 150million for education and higher education, the minister of transport noted that the latest developments on the implementation of joint projects, including a project on the electric train the tenth of Ramadan / Bilbeis. |
