Egypt’s Trade Balance Deficit Declines 22.1% in Sep. 2015

Egypt's trade balance deficit reached LE29.49 billion in September, representing a 22.1 percent decrease compared to LE37.86 billion in the same month last year, the Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS) reported.

The state's exports value reached LE11.12 billion in September, down 25.4 percent from LE14.90 billion in September 2014, due to a drop in the prices of certain commodities such as crude oil, clothes and primary form plastics.

Meanwhile, state's import value decreased by 23 percent recording LE40.61 billion in September, compared to LE52.76 billion in September 2014, due to a decrease in the value of several goods, such as petroleum products and crude oil
