The ministerial economic committee discussed measures to encourage sale of locally-made products to support Egyptian industries and reduce the bill of imports.
The measures will have a positive impact on the foreign currencies in Egypt. The committee agreed to sell five areas of land possessed by the Holding Company for Maritime and Land Transport and to use the sale price to reshuffle a number of stumbling subsidies. Cabinet spokesman Hossam Qawish said the meeting was part of efforts exerted by the ministry of investment to improve the status of the public business sector companies via development and reshuffle processes. |
