Prime Minister Sherif Ismail held a meeting with visiting Chinese President Xi Jinping.
During the meeting, the Chinese President said he was happy to visit Egypt for the first time and hailed efforts exerted by the Egyptian government to boost the Sino-Egyptian cooperation. Xi, who is the first president to visit the House of Representatives, expected that his visit to Cairo would fruit positive impacts on the bilateral relations. Beijing is ready to participate in the Egyptian development projects, he added. For his part, Ismail thanked Xi on inviting President Abdel Fattah el Sisi to the upcoming G20 Summit. The meeting was attended by Egypt's ministers of foreign affairs, investments, housing, electricity, industry, transport and the international cooperation, as well as members of the visiting Chinese delegation. |
