Engineer Sherif Ismail, President of the Council of Ministers, met today a delegation from the sky power, Canada-US, which works in the field of generating energy from new and renewable sources under the chairmanship of the Director of the Commercial Affairs and the strategy of the company, the meeting was attended by Minister of Investment.
During the meeting, the prime minister stressed on the need to proceed with the completion of the procedures relating to the technical studies and funding of the project on the establishment of a power station 300 megawatts of electricity from solar energy, in preparation for the signing of the final project agreement, confirming the intention of the Government to provide all the facilities to enable the initiation of the implementation procedures. Ambassador Hussam Alkawesh the official spokesman for the presidency of the Council of Ministers, stated during the meeting the executive steps taken so far, which include the examination of the proposed sites for the station in the western region of Minya, note that the project includes the manufacture of solar panels for the station. The spokesman said the project assists the transfer of the technology of generating electricity from solar energy to Egypt, and offers many opportunities for work in the area of establishing stations and manufacture of the panels, as well as the availability of training programs abroad for technicians and engineers, which would raise the efficiency of labor and the Egyptian workers to be able at the end of the operation and management of these stations and factories in an efficient manner, in addition to the positive impact of the improvement of the education of modern technical and meet the needs of the citizens of electricity efficiently and with high speed. |
