In the meeting that was very open and frank with the members of the Union of Egyptian investors societies, PM Sherif Ismail said that the intention of the Government to support investors in various fields.
The prime minister stressed during the meeting attended by the ministers of trade and industry, finance, transport, investment, that the government would not hesitate to take the appropriate decisions to support development in the various sectors, confirming that the government has the desire to solve the removal of any obstacles that face investors and manufacturers, indicating that despite the challenges only that there was improvement has occurred in some economic indicators, such as the rate of exports and the low rate of imports, particularly in the first three months of the current year compared with the same period of the previous year. The prime minister stressed on the government's interest in the file of development in Sinai as to occupy the highest priority within the programs of the government, indicating the government is keen to provide more support for small and medium-sized projects, including contributing to the advancement of this sector. During the meeting, the members of the Union of Egyptian investor’s societies, offered condolences to the victims of the Egyptian plane accident which occurred recently, confirming the continuation of their full support to them, they said:' We will only use EGYPTAIR'. It was decided during the meeting to form a joint working group comprising the ministers of trade and industry and investment, and the President of the Union, the President of the General Federation of Industries, and the President of the General Federation of Chambers of Commerce, for uniting efforts to launch an initiative to support the Egyptian product internally and externally. In response to the demands and proposals of attendance, prime minister assured that the coming stage will witness a law of industrial licensing, as well as to study a specific proposal for the Law of the auto industry, with regard to the development of ports including the support of trade movement and the provision of logistics services. The PM referred to the work on the development of the port of Safaga, in particular the completion of the work of the development of all the ports in general. The prime minister promised at the end of the meeting to study all proposals and solutions made by members of the Union of Egyptian investor’s societies during the meeting. |
