 PM Sherif Ismail met with a delegation of the Chinese Meign group specialized in the field of electronics, under the chairmanship of Mr. Li Hongro - the President of the Governing Council of the group, in the presence of the Engineer Yasser Al Kady Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
During the meeting, the PM was briefed from the Chinese delegation on the plan of the group in the area of industrialization in Egypt through the establishment of a factory electronics in one of the industrial areas, where stressed the importance of the implementation of the new investments of the group as soon as possible, with interest on the basis of the local component of the training and employment of Egyptian. He confirmed that the Egyptian market large and enjoys many advantages, including the preference for the purchase of the domestic product, opening the way for the marketing of the products of the factory in COMESA countries in light of the contents of the convention of the Comesa preferential treatment to products of member States. Ambassador Hussam Al Kawesh said that the PM issued the directives of the Minister of Communications to the follow-up to the procedures for the establishment of the new factory, and coordination with the Ministry of Investment to determine the location of the factory in one of the free areas such as the economic area of the Suez Canal, and in coordination with the Ministry of Aviation to consider giving all facilities for the export products of the company. On his part, the President of the Governing Council of the Chinese group thanked the opportunity to meet with the PM, assuring that the group is keen to invest in Egypt, and seeks to coordinate with the minister of communications for its plant to produce mobile phones technology fourth generation, and educational tablet PC, and components of the solar energy, indicating that the Egyptian market is a distinguished relations at the regional level, indicating that the electronic industries with a high demand in all markets, and that raising the slogan of 'Made in Egypt' on the products of the factory. Mr. Hongro clarified that the new factory would be a pilot model in Egypt and the Middle East for the manufacture of mobile phones and tablets, scheduled to start in the compilation of mobile phones in January 2017, to be full industrialization in January 2018, with 65% at least of the factory production for export. He added that the project capital of 100 million pounds, provides work opportunities directly up to 450 employees and workers and training. It is worth mentioning that the group is the main supplier of the world's leading companies and a production capacity estimated at 180 - 220 thousand pieces per month. |
