 Egypt attended the second Maritime Silk Road Port Forum, which was hosted by China's Ningbo city that has the biggest port worldwide.
A delegation from Egypt's Transportation Ministry under head of Maritime Transport Sector Tarek Ghanem represented Egypt's to the forum, which aims to promote cooperation among the ports which are located along this road, Egypt's Consul General in Shanghai Khaled Youssef said. The forum was held in the presence of high-level representatives of shipping and maritime transport companies along with the ports institutions which are located on the naval Silk Road, he added. Head of Maritime Transport Sector Tarek Ghanem delivered a speech during the forum, Youssef said, adding that he pointed out to the Chinese initiative to review the Silk Road, which is considered an initiative which aims to rescue the global economy from severe stagnation. Ghanem also said that the Chinese economy is the main driver for global economy, added the consul general. |
