Minister of communications and Information Technology Yasser el Kady discussed here with Irish Ambassador to Egypt Damien Cole means of boosting bilateral cooperation in the communications and information technology fields.
The two sides tackled prospects of building partnerships in the fields of outsourcing and increasing the volume of Egypt's IT services exports through capitalizing on the distinguished geographical location of the north African country, a statement by the telecommunications ministry indicated. Meanwhile, ElKady reviewed the priorities of the country's communications sector atop of which are establishing new technological zones in a number of Egyptian governorates, setting up strong electronics manufacturing and designing industry, as well as having highly-skilled cadres in this field. For his part, the Irish ambassador hailed Egypt's efforts in the communication and information technology fields, expressing admiration of the Samrt Village and facilities it offers to both local and international companies. |
