China has officially announced Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el Sisi's participation at the G20 Leaders' Summit in the eastern city of Hangzhou on September 4-5.
Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lu Kang, in an official statement on Thursday, said the 11th G20 Summit will be also attended by other leaders including the members of the G20 as well as top officials from various international organizations. Attending the summit will be the presidents of China, Argentina, Brazil, France, Indonesia, South Korea, Mexico, Russia, South Africa, Turkey and the US, as well as the prime ministers of Australia, Canada, India, Italy, Japan and UK, the cancellor of Germany in addition to the presidents of the European Council, European Commission, the deputy crown prince, second deputy prime minister and minister of defense of Saudi Arabia, and the presidents of Chad, Kazakhstan, Laos, Senegal and Singapore, in addition to the prime ministers of Spain, and Thailand. The list of participants also includes the UN chief, the World Bank president, the IMF managing director, the WTO director general and the director general of the International Labor Organization, the president of the Financial Stability Board as well as the secretary general of the OECD, among others. The focus of the summit will be global economic growth. |
