 Minister of Trade and Industry Tarek Kabil decided to allocate 50,000 tons of sugar to meet needs of factories producing foodstuffs.
The move is meant to curb price hikes across the nation, added Kabil who is also in charge of the Supply Ministry. Under the decision, consumers can purchase one kilo of sugar at a cost of five pounds, according to a statement by the Internal Trade and Supply Ministry. |
