 President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has stressed the importance of increasing hard currency reserve with the Central Bank of Egypt (CBE); a measure that will positively affect economic indicators in the coming period.
The president warned that this should not affect the State's efforts to secure commodities for citizens, proceed with national projects and realize economic development. The president made the remarks during a meeting with the prime minister, the CBE governor and the ministers of defense, foreign affairs, interior, justice, civil aviation, finance and supply, said Presidential Spokesman Alaa Youssef. The heads of the intelligence service and the Administrative Control Authority attended the meeting. The meeting tackled the government's efforts to secure commodities at affordable prices. The president gave directives to increase mobile and fixed outlets for selling basic commodities nationwide and encourage the private sector to play a role in this respect. The talks also tackled the latest developments concerning the families who left Arish city to Ismailia over terrorist threats in North Sinai. The president gave directives that the government continues working to help those families and removing all obstacles facing them. |
