Transport Minister Hisham Arafat discussed with Italian Ambassador to Egypt Giampaolo Cantini cooperation in the sectors of railways and Metro.
"Egypt's transport sector is witnessing a major development across all its aspects," minister Arafat said during the meeting that was attended by his advisers. He further highlighted the promising investment opportunities in all the transport domains, especially the Metro and the new railways that will be constructed. "A great importance is being attached to the railway in light of its significance as a sector that serves millions of commuters daily," the minister added. Arafat and Cantini tackled cooperation in the sphere of safety and security of the railways. As the talks touched on cooperation in the Metro sector, minister Arafat shed light on the promising opportunities for the Italian companies in this field, namely Metro Line 5. |
