Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli asserted the government's interest in implementing "Magra El-Oyoun" development project.
This came at a meeting with Finance Minister Mohamed Maeit, Trade Minister Amr Nassar, Cairo Governor Atef Abdel Hamid and Chairman of the General Authority for Urban Planning (GAUP) Essam el Gazzar. During the meeting, Madbouli said that the project is part of an overall plan to restore Cairo as a city of heritage and arts. They agreed on signing a protocol among the finance ministry, Cairo governorate and the GAUP to develop Sour Magra el-Oyoun, the 700-year-old aqueduct in Old Cairo. Within the framework of overhauling Sour Magra el-Oyoun, Robeiki leather city was set to replace the centuries-old tanneries in Magra El-Oyoun. |
