World Bank (WB) administrative director Kristalina Georgiev said the bank has confidence in the economic reform program carried out by Egypt under President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.
At a meeting with Minister of Investment and International Cooperation Sahar Nasr in Davos, she added that the bank will continue supporting Egypt to resume its economic and social reform measures. The two sides discussed the bank's support for Egypt in the sectors of priority especially developing Sinai and the fields of infrastructure, transport and agriculture, according to a statement by the Ministry of Investment. Nasr said that the Egyptian government is working to achieve more growth through adopting sound economic policies, added the statement. Egypt is also encouraging the private sector to pump more investments, she added. |
