Prime Minister Moustafa Madbouli had talkswith Chief Executive Officer of Apple Tim Cook on means of boosting direct investments in Egypt.
He expounded that Egypt under the leadership of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi has an ambitious plan to turn into a center for technological and electronic industries in the region. He referred to the radical educational development plan under which 750,000 tablets will be distributed annually among secondary school students. He said the New Administrative Capital as well as the 14 smart cities projects are a good investment opportunity for Apple. Meanwhile, Cook stressed the company's interest in investing in Egypt, welcoming cooperation with it in developing educational technology. The Premier invited Cook to visit Egypt soon for talks with the ministers concerned on the company's investment plans. |
