Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) Chairman Nobuhiko Sasaki said said that his organization seeks to restore un-utilized investment opportunities in the African continent through tapping into the Seventh Tokyo International Conference on African Development (TICAD-VII).
The JETRO aims to boost partnership between the Japanese and African companies, Sasaki was addressing a press conference held on the sidelines of the TICAD, currently takes place in the Japanese city of Yokohama. He added that the Japanese organization exerts its utmost effort to give first hand information to Japanese investors about investment opportunities in Africa, despite the geographic distance. The JETRO paves the way for Japanese companies to have presence in the African market, Sasaki said, noting that Japan's exports to Africa reached dollar 10.8 billion in the year 2018. The Japan External Trade Organization (JETRO) is a government-related organization that promotes mutual trade and investment between Japan and the rest of the world.
