Communications and Information Technology Minister Amr Talaat said that Egypt and France enjoy deeply-rooted and distinguished economic ties.
Talaat’s remarks came during a press conference he held with Central Bank of Egypt Tarek Amer and France’s Ambassador in Cairo Stéphane Romatet to officially launch the first competition for startups in Egypt. The minister said that the communication sector grew by 16 percent in the second quarter of the fiscal year 2019/2020, increasing its participation in Egypt’s GDP from four to eight percent in three years. |
