The Central Bank of Egypt (CBE) board of directors issued on a decision on the formation of the new monetary policy committee.
The committee will be chaired by CBE Governor Tareq Amer, and will comprise two deputies and three members. The panel is expected to hold its first meeting to discuss the interest rates decision for the coming six weeks. The committee will convene once every six weeks to outline the monetary policies and review reports prepared by the bank's monetary policy unit on that score. |
