Chairman of the Suez Canal Authority (SCA) Osama Rabie said Commander of the US Central Command (CENTCOM) Michael Erik Kurilla has praised the management of the canal and the measures taken to secure the international waterway.
In a phone interview with Sada El Balad TV channel on Monday 12/9/2022, Rabie added that Kurilla also commended Egypt's vision on developing the Suez Canal. The SCA chairman underscored the importance of his meeting with the US commander which was the first of its kind. Rabie said the canal's revenues increased from $4 billion to $7 billion after digging the new canal. The returns on investment certificates of the new canal yielded EGP 58 billion and all citizens got their money and profits, Rabie said, stressing that all malicious allegations against the new canal are baseless. |
