Deputy Minister of Housing, Utilities and Urban Communities for Infrastructure Affairs Sayed Ismail has discussed with a delegation from the European Investment Bank (EIB) under the chairmanship of director of finance at the European Neighborhood Policy (ENP).
The meeting took up aspects of cooperation with the EIB along with the executive position of drinking water and sanitary drainage projects, which are currently being implemented. The meeting also reviewed the executive position of finalizing procedures related to the agreement signed with the EIB to expand the capacity of the Helwan plant by 250,000 cubic metres per day to accommodate increasing wastewater discharge, the ministry's statement quoted the deputy minister as saying. The deputy minister, meanwhile, also reviewed the executive position of the desalination plants in Egypt and the strategic plan for sea water desalination until 2050. |
