The volume of trade exchange between Egypt and India was up to six billion dollars in 2022, against 5.3 billion dollars in 2021 with an increase of 13.7%, according to statistics by Central Agency for Public Mobilization and Statistics (CAPMAS).
The Egyptian exports to India recorded 1.9 billion dollars in 2022, compared to two billion dollars in 2021 with a reduction of 6.5%. The Egyptian imports from India reached 4.1 billion dollars in 2022 against 3.2 billion dollars in 2021 with an increase of 26.4%, added the statistics. The value of Indian investments in Egypt hit 33.1 million dollars in the first half of Fiscal Year 2022/23 against 24.2 million dollars in the same period of FY 2021/22 with an increase of 36.8%. The volume of remittances of Egyptians working in India reached six million dollars in FY 2021/22 against 5.8 million dollars in FY 2020/21 with an increase of 3.6%. Remittances of Indians working in Egypt reached 16.3 million dollars in FY 2021/22, compared to 14.3 million dollars in FY 2020/21 with an increase of 13.8%. |
