India’s leading motorcycles export company, Bajaj Auto, expressed its desire to expand activities in Egypt through setting up an industrial project in the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZONE), especially in East Port Said to facilitate the export process to African and overseas markets.
This came during a meeting between a delegation of the SCZONE, under Chairman of the General Authority for the SCZONE Walid Gamal El Din, and representatives of the mega Indian company that exports more than two million motorcycles and three-wheelers vehicles to 79 countries, the SCZONE said in a statement issued. During their promotional tour in the Indian city of Mumbai, the SCZONE delegation met Rahul Nazareth, the Area Manager of TVs Motor company, one of India's leading motorcycle manufacturing companies that plans to manufacture eco-friendly vehicles. The products of TVs Motor Indian company are distributed to the Asian markets as well as over 60 countries worldwide, particularly in the Middle East and Africa. The SCZONE delegation, during its promotional tour in Mumbai, met as well with representatives of Ashok Leyland company - which is an affiliate of Hinduja Group - one of India's leading commercial vehicle manufacturers and the world's third largest buses manufacturer. The meeting came as a part of the SCZONE eagerness to lure such industries to East Port Said, in line with the State's strategy towards switching to green industries, according to the statement. During a meeting with Bobby Salwan, the Regional Head of Automotive and Construction Equipment Business in Middle East, North & West Africa ,and South and Central America of Mahindra Group, an Indian multinational automotive manufacturing corporation, SCZONE head shed light on the low-cost of power and workers at the industrial zone as well its strong infrastructure. The promotional tour of the SCZONE delegation, also, entailed a meeting with HP Adhesives Limited, one of the foremost Indian companies in the plastic material used in manufacturing adhesives and sealants products, the statement added. |
