The Egyptian government will limit its exports from potatoes to the European union during 2005/2006 season to companies with production capacity exceeding 4000 tons. Furthermore each company should export quantities not less than what have been exported in the previous season.
The Egyptian government has categorized exporters into large and small exporters. Large companies are those who export 172,000 tons and above. The smaller ones with exports arround 12,000 tons. |
