The European Union allowed the entry of pesticide free Egyptian potatoes to Europe for the coming export season. The export season of 2005/2006 will start before the end of this year and will end by the beginning of the spring of 2006. Egypt managed to export large amounts of potatoes to the EU with a value of 240,000 tons during 2004/2005 seasons.
