His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal Al-Saud, Minister of Foreign Affairs, described the first ministerial meeting of the Strategic Cooperation Forum between the Gulf Cooperation Council Member States and the United States as positive and constructive. In the opening statement of the joint press conference held on (9-5-1433) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs headquarters in Riyadh with the U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal Al-Saud, said that the meeting was held in the frame of the close ties between the two sides which are based on mutual respect and dedication to common interests in various political, economic, security and cultural fields and at all formal and informal levels. "We have discussed, in the meeting, many issues, especially the heinous massacre against the Syrian people, in addition to the latest developments in Yemen as well as reviewing the overall developments and political situations in the Gulf region, the Middle East and North Africa and their consequences on the security and stability of the region and the world", His Royal Highness Prince Saud Al-Faisal added.
