The Egyptian-Saudi Arabia Business Council estimates the Saudi investments in Egypt of about 16 billions EGP and expect that the size of investments in Egypt will increase during the coming period to 10 billions USD. The General Authority for Investment and Free Zones has announced that the total direct Arab investments in Egypt reached about $ 19.8 billion, while Saudi Arabia is the largest Arab investor in Egypt. The Saudi investments in Egypt is distributed on the industrial activity by 36%, services and funding by 28% and 16% in tourism and hospitality, while living in Egypt about 700 thousand Saudi in Egypt between the permanent resident or non-permanent. The president of the Egyptian-Saudi company “Hosni Reda”, in a statement today, expected increasing the volume of Arab investments in the coming period, stressing that investors in Saudi Arabia and Qatar have declared more than once that they were waiting the return of stability of the Egyptian street to start pumping investments or expanding the existed investments, pointing to double the volume of these investments to tens of billions very soon.
