Port Said-Mersin newest maritime line for automotive trade was inaugurated on 28/4/2012 to link Egypt and Turkey. Previously, three maritime lines have been operated for conveying containers between ports of Port Said, Damietta, Alexandria and Turkey. The new navigational line will be allocated for vehicles trade and Turkish automobiles exports via Port Said to the Arab Gulf states and Asia East.
