$3 billion investments from the UAE to be pumped in several mega agricultural projects in the country. This was reported in the media quoting Eng. Mohamed Reda Ismail, Minister of Agricultural and Land Reclamation addressing a press conference. The Minister indicated that the projects include the reclamation of 100,000 feddans land along Toshki Canal second branch over five years (20,000 feddans annually).
The Minister noted the project will be implemented by Al Zahera Co. Another project will involve a large sized poultry farm to produce virus free mother and grand mother chicks including an artificial poultry breeding laboratory. A third project would involve a buffalo growing project to be the largest in the Middle East and to be implemented by an Egyptian UAE joint venture.
