Foreign Minister H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan met in New York with Yukiya Amano, Director General of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).
During their meeting, held on the sidelines of the 70th Session of the UN General Assembly, Sheikh Abdullah and Amano discussed cooperation between the UAE and the IAEA, along with how the UAE might benefit from the Agency's scientific and technical expertise. Sheikh Abdullah was also briefed about the progress of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action regarding Iran’s nuclear program, signed in Vienna on 14 July 2015 between Iran and the P5+1. The meeting was attended by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and Lana Nusseibeh, UAE's Permanent Representative to the United Nations. |
