H.H. Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club, has approved the 2015-2016 Ghantoot Activities programme, which includes many domestic and international events kicking off on the 16th October and coming to a close on 9th April, 2016.
After having a successful season supported by the Abu Dhabi Sports Council as well as numerous national institutions and companies, the club begins its new season this October. Starting off with humanitarian events, the club opens its season with the Emirates Autism Charity Polo Match on 16th October, which is then followed by the Emirates Red Crescent Charity Polo match on the 30th of October. On the 6th of November, the club will witness a special tournament, the ADCB Pink Polo tournament, which has previously enjoyed great success after Her Highness Sheikha Maitha bint Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum led the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank team to victory over their rivals, the Maserati team, by 6 - 4. Adding to their charitable events, Al Amal Polo Day is scheduled for the 20th of November, an event held under the patronage of H.H. Sheikh Falah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Chairman of Ghantoot Racing and Polo Club, that dedicates its proceedings to Al Ain Centre for Care and Rehabilitation. December will be even more active, as the annual UAE National Day Polo Exhibition Game takes place to celebrate the auspicious occasion, which is then followed by the official opening tournament of the 15th edition of the Emirates International Open Polo Championships, scheduled to take place between the 6th and 18th December. |
