Sultan bin Saeed Al Mansouri, Minister of Economy, met with a ministerial delegation from Ethiopia to discuss co-operation relations and ways of enhancing them in various economic fields, particularly in agriculture, food security, tourism and civil aviation sectors.
The Ethiopian delegation included Ahmed Abtew, Minister of Industry, Abdulaziz Mohammed, Minister of Finance and Economic Cooperation, a number of Ethiopian government officials and Abdul Qader Rasqwa, Ethiopian Ambassador to the UAE. During the meeting, which was held in the ministry's general office in Dubai, the two sides discussed the importance of strengthening the role of the private sector to support intra-regional trade and joint investments between the two countries. They also reviewed a number of outstanding issues, ways to overcome obstacles in trade and investment movement between the UAE and Ethiopia, as well as new prospects for economic co-operation, especially in industry and the production of clean energy. |
