Electricity and Renewable Energy Minister Mohamed Shaker said Egypt is witnessing great development in energy scores.
In statements to MENA , he said his participation in the Berlin Energy Transition Dialogue, which was held on Tuesday and Wednesday, offered a chance exchange views on energy issues. He said energy ministers, as well as representatives from over 50 states took part in the event. He noted that many seminars were held on the fringe of the get-together, a matter which helped magnifying the benefit of the event. He noted that the whole world is stepping up efforts in the energy domain, especially to curb greenhouse gas emissions and promote use of new and renewable energy. He noted that President Abdel Fattah El Sisi deals with the energy file as a national security issue. He referred to the outstanding cooperation between Egypt and Siemens company which resulted into operating three mega power stations in 28 months. |
