World Bank officials hailed an initiative of President Abdel Fattah El Sisi to invest in human capital, especially in the fields of education and health.
The World Bank has channeled dlrs 1.03 billion to prop up the initiative. The Education Ministry said Education Minister Tareq Shawqi and Investment Minister Sahar Nasr had talks with World Bank officials on developing preliminary education. The two ministers underlined the importance of coordinating with international institutions to work out applicable plans for developing education in line with President Sisi's vision. Egypt agreed with the World Bank to take a number of executive measures in the coming period to attain Egypt's goal of developing education. |
